almon is such a beautiful fish that doesn't require much work or flavouring. This is a method i use to achieve the perfect pan fried salmon fillet. 

What You'll Need - Serves 2 

  • 2 Salmon Steaks 
  • Salt & Pepper 
  • 2 Tbs Olive Oil 
  • 2 Tbs Butter 

Prep - 5 Minutes 

  • Season the salmon steaks with salt & pepper 
  • Press the salt and pepper into the salmon and allow it to sit for 5 minutes \

Let's Get Cooking - 10 Minutes

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil and  1 Tbs of butter (Leave the other half for later)
  • Place the salmon skin side down allow the skin to become crispy (About 4 minutes)
  • Flip the salmon and cook for 1 minutes 
  • Flip it back with the skin side in the pan and place the tablespoon of butter ontop of the salmon
  • Grab a tablespoon and baste the salmon (scooping the oil and butter from the pan and pouring it into the salmon) for 1 minute 
  • Remove from the pan and allow to rest for 2 minutes 
  • Serve with your favourite sides
