What You’ll Need - Serves 3-4

  • 500g Cleaned Calamari Rings

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour

  • 1 Cup Corn Flour

  • Dried Chili Flakes

  • 1 Lemon

  • Salt & Pepper

Prep - 20 Minutes

  • Season the Calamari with chili flakes, salt and pepper. Combine and allow to marinade for 15 Minutes.

  • Place the flour in a bowl and season generously with salt and pepper.

  • Place the calamari in the flour and coat and allow to sit in the flour for 3-5 minutes so it can absorb the flour.

  • You can put them in the fridge to chill while you’re heating your oil for deep frying.

Let’s Get Cooking - 10 Minutes

  • Heat enough oil in a pan or sauce pan/pot to deep fry the Calamari.

  • Once the oil is hot, add the calamari a batch at a time to make sure they cook evenly.

  • The Calamari takes no more than 2 minutes to cook so you just want to fry these until the coating is golden brown.

  • Drizzle more lemon juice onto the cooked prawns and serve with an aioli dip.
